A women’s hospital in north Melbourne has been identified as a level 1 COVID-19 exposure site, sending all exposed patients to quarantine.
The Mercy Hospital for Women in Heidelberg has confirmed that a patient tested positive for COVID-19 after visiting an outpatient clinic for women.
“The hospital takes an exceptionally cautious approach and, in accordance with advice from the Department of Health, has advised any patient at risk to be tested and self-isolate for 14 days,” a spokesperson said.
The hospital is one of many exhibition sites to be confirmed by the department but not listed on the public exhibition sites website by Sunday morning.
Other schools and daycares were added to the list of exhibition sites overnight, including Tarneit Rise Elementary School on September 13.
Child care centers in Docklands, Cheltenham and Reservoir were also listed as Level 1 sites, along with an auto repair shop in Braybrook.
Anyone who has visited a level 1 site during the exposure period must be tested and self-isolate for 14 days.
