CITY OF CEBU – The Cebu Department of Commerce and Industry (DTI) has granted the ‘Gold Bagwis’ seal to 30 department stores, supermarkets, and service and repair shops here in recognition of their efforts to advocate for rights and welfare. being consumers and practicing responsible business in the midst of the pandemic.

DTI-Cebu Provincial Director Rose Mae Quiñanola said 19 establishments were awarded for their continued compliance while the remaining 11 were new.

“The certificate of continuous compliance is issued to establishments that comply with the parameters defined by the DTI (after three years from the first award) and with applicable laws in matters of consumption, efficient customer relations, efficient store management operations, the exemplary nature of commitment and social responsibility, and put in place quality management management, ”she said in a press release on Wednesday.

Having been certified as a compliant commercial establishment after reassessment, DTI has extended the validity of the Gold Bagwis Awards awarded to Toyota Mandaue (Cebu City, South and North), SM City Cebu Supermarket, Savemore Market (Mactan, Basak, Maribago, EMall , Maguikay, Parkmall and Canduman), Belmont Industrial Tool Center, Super Shopping Market (Cebu and JCenter Mall), Metro Department Store (Ayala and Colon) and Robinsons Supermarket (Banilad, Cebu-Fuente and Talisay).

“This award (DTI Bagwis Seal) has many advantages. This includes internal resolution of consumer reports, promotion of products and services and priority niches for seminars and workshops by DTI, ”said Edward Darrel Caratao, Toyota-Cebu Customer Relations Manager.
