Leeds learn of Okafor price amid new Gakpo message
Leeds United are back in action this weekend and will be looking to build on their stunning result against Liverpool.
Ahead of the Bournemouth clash, we’ve rounded up all the latest Leeds transfer news and rumors.
Leeds continue to be linked with a move for PSV Eindhoven star Cody Gakpo, and it is looking increasingly likely that the winger will be sold in January.
Dutch journalist Rik Elfrink said Voetbal Primeur: “If I was at PSV, I would do everything not to sell [Gakpo] This winter. If you lose Gakpo, you could say goodbye to your title aspirations. But I hope it won’t be until next season. Then we can get some things back.
The likes of Arsenal and Manchester United are also linked with Gakpo ahead of the winter window.
Leeds will have to pay big to land RB Salzburg Noah Okafor in the January window.
Los Blancos have been linked with Okafor which is no surprise given Marsch’s links with Salzburg. But according to CalciomercatoSalzburg are demanding £30m for the 22-year-old striker.
Arsenal and AC Milan have also been linked with Okafor, while Leeds are reportedly looking for a striker. It’s a big price, but it could be worth it if Leeds think the signing will keep them out of the relegation battle in the second half of the season.
