The description:
This recall includes model numbers DW2450 and DW2450WS for the Cove Appliance 24-inch residential built-in dishwasher. The serial numbers for the recalled dishwashers are 20000100 through 20044445. The model number, serial number and date code are printed on the product nameplate inside the dishwasher. The “cove” is printed on the outside of the door and on the right edge of the control panel at the top of the unit door.

Therapy:
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled dishwasher, disconnect it from the power source, and contact Cove Appliance to schedule a free repair. The Cove Appliance installs a second thermal protector to replace the heating element in the dishwasher.

Incident / Injury:
The company has received five reports of burning, flame and smoke odors in dishwashers. No injuries were reported.
